Who We Are
The All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference is the oldest and most historic political movement of Jammu and Kashmir. Established in 1932 at Pathar Masjid, Srinagar, it emerged as the organised political voice of Kashmiri Muslims under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah as its first President and Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas as its first Secretary General. From its inception, the Muslim Conference stood for representation, political rights, and the collective aspirations of the people. The party played a decisive role in the state's political history, securing overwhelming public mandates in successive elections and leading the movement that defined the future direction of Jammu and Kashmir. Under the leadership of Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas and later Sardar Muhammad Abdul Qayyum Khan, the Muslim Conference guided the struggle against autocratic rule, led the movement that resulted in the liberation of Azad Kashmir, and laid the foundations of civilian governance and state institutions. Guided by courage, unity, and responsibility, and strengthened by generations of dedicated leaders and workers, the Muslim Conference has remained committed to its national ideals and public service. Today, under continued leadership, we carry this historic mission forward with clarity, resolve, and faith in a dignified and prosperous future for the coming generations.

Coming Together
Since its establishment in 1932, the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference has relied on regular meetings and conventions as a core part of its political practice. From early gatherings in Srinagar before partition to major conventions across Azad Kashmir after 1947, these forums have shaped policy, leadership decisions, and the movements direction. Historically, such meetings enabled mass participation, the passage of landmark resolutions, and coordination during periods of struggle, transition, and governance. Today, these gatherings remain central to party life, allowing leaders, workers, and representatives to review political developments, strengthen the organisation, and remain directly connected with the people they represent.
